Oil on cardboard, 40x48 cm /// The style of the painter Edgars Vinters (1919-2014) is characterized by following the tradition of Realism and Impressionism, which is best demonstrated in his landscape paintings. The motif of the artwork is the road depicted in the centre of the composition. The autumnal seasonal mood is achieved with the use of a range of colours appropriate to the local environment and the depiction of the foggy atmosphere. The paint is applied in several layers with soft brushstrokes, which give contours and detailing to the shape modelling. The artist’s signature is on the lower right.
