Oil on cardbord, 85x100 cm, 1970s /// According to the shapes modelling, the particular composition belongs to the Bušs’ creative period of the 70s. A panoramic and expressive view of Rezekne. Latgale is the artist’s native side and its motifs are persistent in artist’s paintings. Decorative coloured trees are depicted in the foreground and in the depth of the painting. In the central part a dense and stylized representation of architecture united by the use of purple contours. The sky area is formed with a certain dramatism by the selected colour and extended strokes. In the background is depicted the silhouette of one of the city’s most monumental buildings – the Rezekne Cathedral.
