Oil on cardboard, 91,5 x 70 cm, 2005 /// The style of the Latvian painter Edgars Vinters (1919-2014) characterizes following the tradition of realism and impressionism. A fragmentary scene close to the surface of the painting was chosen for the scope of the autumn season. The foreground consists of illuminated open space from the middle to the upper edge of the image depicting the foliage of trees, through which the grey-blue sky can be seen in the background. The shapes are modelled by soft and small rhythmically arranged brush strokes. The artist’s signature and dating are on the lower right.
