New artwork by the famous painter Valdis Bušs (1924-2014) has been added to the catalogue of the Art Platz Auction online auction. "Flowers in a Blue Vase" is a still life composition with a message that could not be expressed freely, but was important and necessary for many. The depicted colour combination of red-white-red resembles the Latvian flag. The painting was created in 1983 when the use of symbols indicating national identity was prohibited. The artwork is monumental and courageous in its mood.
